Jan. 1- Happy New Year! Celebrate and test your luck on the gaming floor at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort!

Jan. 2- Bring the Lego lover in your life to the kickoff party for the Jimmy John’s Lego Building Competition at Veteran’s Library from 12:30-1 p.m.

Jan. 3- Grab the kids and head to Faith Johnston Library for a Sunday showing of Minions from 2-4 p.m.

Jan. 4- Get a head start on your new year’s resolution and enjoy a walk at Morey Courts for $1 or try a drop-in class at Endurance Fitness.

Jan. 5- Enjoy a delicious $5 basket at Dog Central for lunch. Includes your choice of dog and fries.

Jan. 6- Cheer on CMU’s Men’s Basketball team as they face Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m.

Jan. 7- Keep the kids active during the winter by bouncing over to The Jump Station for a day of active fun!

Jan. 8- Spend a night together as a family at Morey Courts’ free Family Fun Night from 6-8 p.m. Today is also the opening day for local campground reservations, start planning your summer trips!

Jan. 9- Head to Finch Fieldhouse today from 12-2 p.m. for Under the Big Top, a free kids carnival and midway.

Jan. 10- Check out this week’s Sunday movie deal from CFX and enjoy a movie at Celebration Cinema!

Jan. 11- Today begins the CRDL Hot Reads for Cold Months Adult Reading Program. Stop in and pick up a book to start.

Jan. 12- Mt. Pleasant is home to four local breweries. Spend today checking out their hand-crafted brews and enjoying a delicious dinner.

Jan. 13- Visit Art Reach today and see the wonderful work of Marcella Hadden in the Art Reach gallery.

Jan. 14- Treat yourself to dinner and some classic cocktails at the new tapas bar, 120 South.

Jan. 15- Take the kids to the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum and keep them active and excited to learn this winter.

Jan. 16- Join the MPHS Oilers booster club at the Annual Winter Auction at Finch Fieldhouse. You can also check out the Frigid Doe Ice Bow Disc Golf tournament at Deerfield Nature Park.

Jan. 17- See some of the area’s top athletes at Central Michigan University today for the Chippewa Hills Wrestling Invitational.

Jan. 18- Today we celebrate the work of Martin Luther King Jr. Join CMU around the community for a day of service. Today we also welcome Planet Fitness as they celebrate their grand opening.

Jan. 19- Take a snow day! Grab your sleds and hit the hills at Mission Creek Woodland Park for a day of winter fun.

Jan. 20- Show your Chippewa pride and stock up on the latest CMU gear at the Bookstore on CMU’s campus. After you’ve got your gear, head to McGuirk Arena and cheer on Central Michigan’s women’s basketball team as they face off against Miami.

Jan. 21- Come see the ‘Our Fragile Home’ art exhibition at the University Art Gallery.

Jan. 22- Try out several different Short’s brews on tap at Hunters Ale House’s Shorts Tap Takeover.

Jan. 23- Escape the cold and enjoy some Cajun favorites at the 25^th Annual Night of Louisiana at Finch Fieldhouse.

Jan. 24- Get your running shoes and head to Okelly’s Sports Bar for the first 5k, 10k, or half marathon in the Winter Warriors Race Series.

Jan. 25- Learn more about the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s heritage at the Ziibiwing Cultural Center.

Jan. 26- Spend some time shopping and checking out the great locally owned businesses in Downtown Mt. Pleasant today.

Jan. 27- Cheer on the Mt. Pleasant High School hockey team at their 7 p.m. home game at the I.C.E arena.

Jan. 28- Get creative and paint your own pottery at The Painted Turtle.

Jan. 31- Dads, take your daughters out for the annual Daddy Daughter Date Night from 2-4 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. at Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel & Conference Center.

Feb. 1- Create some heartfelt Valentine’s Day cards for our country’s veterans and drop them off at the Bovee University Center for delivery!

Feb. 2- Warm up at Narrativality Coffee Roasters in Downtown Mt. Pleasant with a delicious coffee or hot chocolate.

Feb. 3- Head to Stan’s this morning for breakfast and a great start to your day.

Feb. 4- Come see some of the greatest women’s billiard stars at the WPBA 2016 Masters, hosted at the Soaring Eagle Casino.

Feb. 5- Keep you golf game strong this winter by trying out Bucks Run’s indoor virtual golf simulator.

Feb. 6- Are you ready to face the brutal Michigan elements? Test your strength by participating in Man vs. Mountain, a 5k winter obstacle course through the Mt. Pleasant Parks System.

Feb. 7- Check out the newest addition to Downtown Mt. Pleasant- Helios Art Gallery, which features the work of talented local students.

Feb. 8- Stay active this winter and try out the climbing wall and ropes course at Finch Fieldhouse.

Feb. 9- It’s Teen Tuesday at Veteran’s Memorial Library. Head there for their Skip the Romance, Go Straight for the Chocolate event and enjoy some sweet treats.

Feb. 10- See the Central Michigan University Theatre production of Mother Hicks at Bush Theatre.

Feb. 11- Enjoy a collection of local, regional, and independent films at the Central Michigan International Film Festival.

Feb. 12- See the Sacred Heart Academy Dance Team preform at home tonight at 7 p.m. Today is also the deadline to fill out an application at Art Reach to participate in the festival of banners this summer.

Feb. 13- Kids got cabin fever? Join My104.3 and Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation at Finch Fieldhouse from 1-3 p.m. for the Winter Kids Expo. The kids can enjoy fun games, prizes, and more.
