The Mount Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) was formed in 1988 as community and Chamber of Commerce leaders determined that tourism had become such an important and permanent part of the local economic base of the community that an organized marketing effort was necessary. In 1990, the CVB began operations as a separate legal entity.
Today, the Mount Pleasant Area CVB is the destination marketing organization for Isabella County. It helps development of new tourism products, markets current tourism products and fulfills tourist demands for information and services.
