The Mount Pleasant Discovery Museum is set to open it’s doors to kids and families December 28th.  


 

The Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum is dedicated to establishing a fun, unique, hands-on, and educational experience for children ages 0-12 and families in Isabella, Clare, Gratiot, Midland, Mecosta, Montcalm counties and beyond.   
 
The Museum is located at 5093 East Remus Rd. in Mt. Pleasant, directly across the street from the Morey Courts and ICE Arena.
 

Nate Lockwood, Executive Director of the Museum said “Our staff is ecstatic to begin sharing our museum with the children and families in our region for many years to come.”

 
 
 
The museums mission is to create and spark creativity, nourish learning, and inspire the curiosity of children through self-directed discovery in an engaging, hands-on environment.
 
The 12,000 sq. ft. eco-friendly and accessible children’s museum will engage varying ages and developmental levels through exhibits that will cover subjects ranging from math and sciences, world cultures, literacy, regional history, and the arts.
 
The museum hopes to become a place for gathering, for growing, and for celebrating the important work that play provides for children.
 
So whether your looking for a day of fun, mixed with a little education, or want to plan a unique birthday celebration the new Discovery Museum may is just the place.
 

The museum started with a group of visionaries, motivated by their own children and a collective enthusiams for play-based education, and came together to imagine a space for kids, families, and schools that is FUN and educational.

Admission is $7.00 per person or you can choose to invest in a year-round membership starting at $75.00 for two.  The hours for the museum is:
Tuesday – Saturday: 10:30am – 5:30pm
Sunday: 12:00 – 5:30pm
And they will be closed on Monday.
