Mount Pleasant Sports & Entertainment Commission—Live Sports, Play Sports, Think Mount Pleasant!

"Wow! Gus loves Mount Pleasant and Central Michigan University! Gus Macker Basketball Tournaments have just celebrated 36 years of dribbling across the country, but we've always dreamed of playing in Mount Pleasant on the CMU campus. The Convention and Visitors Bureau made it happen by bringing together university administrators, college students and business leaders to test-market this new college and community-based event. Our goal was to create a family-oriented sports festival, with a college twist. Mount Pleasant provided the perfect "model" community for this project, rolling out the red carpet for Gus Macker players and their families. The personal touch, hard work and dedication of the CVB staff provided us this opportunity. We couldn't be happier with the results. Our hope is that Mount Pleasant's "model" festival can be duplicated in various schools/communities throughout the nation. Thanks Mount Pleasant Area Convention & Visitor Bureau for bringing your "A-Game"!
