Sept. 1- Stock up on your Maroon and Gold with the latest Chippewa gear at the CMU Bookstore.
Sept. 2- Spoil yourself with a dessert from Crème de la Crème in Downtown Mt. Pleasant.
Sept. 3- Cheer on the Chippewas as they face off against OSU at Kelly/Shorts Stadium for the first home football game of 2015!
Sept. 4- See the hand crafted quilts and crafts at the Yoder’s Flea Market in Clare.
Sept. 5- Have you ever fed a bison? Head to Pohl Bison for a live bison ranch tour at 10 a.m. in their covered wagon.
Sept. 7- Happy Labor Day! Spend today with family and friends before the school year kicks off.
Sept. 8- Try the new Jump Station featuring indoor inflatable obstacles on Broomfield Rd.
Sept. 10- Soak up the last bit of warm weather kayaking or tubing the Chippewa River.
Sept. 11- Head to Remus for a day of music and fun at the 42nd annual Wheatland Music Festival!
Sept. 12- There’s tons to do in Mt. Pleasant today! Visit the Farmers’ Market at City Hall for free outdoor yoga, cheer on CMU as they face off against Monmouth, or jam out with Kenny Rogers at the Soaring Eagle Casino.
Sept. 13- Enjoy a good laugh at Central Michigan University as Summer Theater presents: One Slight Hitch. Performed in Bush Theater at 2:00 p.m.
Sept. 14- Swing by CMURC’s Food Truck Monday for a delicious and unique lunch.
Sept. 15- Spend your day meeting some furry friends while you volunteer at HATS!
Sept. 17- Grab your running shoes for a great cause and head to the old Michigan State Police post for Mt. Pleasant’s Community Run.
Sept. 19- Moms and Sons can spend the afternoon at Chipp-A-Waters Park for a day of outdoor adventure from 12-3 p.m. You can also Rock the Eagle at the annual Middle of the Mitt Music Festival, hosted by Soaring Eagle Casino.
Sept. 20- Brush up on your history today at the 11th annual Civil War Muster at Deerfield Park.
Sept. 21- Practice your skills on the green at Bucks Run’s 18 hole natural grass putting course!
Sept. 22- Today you can enjoy a $1 movie and popcorn at the Isabella Commission on Aging.
Sept. 23- Enjoy a delicious wrap or sandwich for lunch on Max & Emily’s patio!
Sept. 24- Take a trip north to Snow Snake for an exciting day of zip lining.
Sept. 25- Cheer on Shepherd High School’s Varsity Football team at their Homecoming game against Hemlock! Today is also the 17th annual Into the Light Cancer Awareness Fundraiser and Memorial in Island Park.
Sept. 27- Spend today at one of the areas many parks for an early fall picnic.
Sept. 28- Stop by Doozies for some delicious soft serve one last time before they close for the season!
Sept. 29- Take the kids for some adventure and learning at CMU’s Museum Exhibit: Great Lakes Adventure Children’s Gallery.
Sept. 30- Help support the community and join in on the Mt. Pleasant Rotary 5k.
Oct. 1– Head over to Veteran’s Memorial Library’s book sale and grab a good book!
Oct. 2– Today is Mt. Pleasant High School’s Homecoming football game against Flint Northwestern! Get your blue and gold on and support the team. CMU events center will also be hosting Hoodie Allen and Third Eye Blind in concert at 8 p.m.!
Oct. 3- It’s Homecoming season! Enjoy the Homecoming parade on Main Street at 11 a.m. and then cheer on the Chippewas at their 3 p.m. Homecoming football game as they face Northern Illinois.
Oct. 4- Hit the greens at one of the local golf courses for a fall round of golf!
Oct. 5- Are you up for a challenge? Test you rock climbing skills at CMU’s climbing wall in Finch Fieldhouse.
Oct. 11- Hit the local craft breweries today and enjoy your favorite fall flavors.
Oct. 12- Enjoy a sweet treat from Robaire’s Bakery.
Oct. 13- Are you feeling adventurous today? Try out sky diving at the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Airport.
Oct. 14- Head out to Uncle John’s for a fall classic: cider and donuts!
Oct. 15- Shop the local Framers’ Market for some fresh produce and local products.
Oct. 16- Enjoy another comedy at Central Michigan University’s Theater production of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Performed at Bush Theater at 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 17- Take in the beautiful fall colors on the Fall Colors Steam Engine Tour to Cadillac or watch CMU football take on Buffalo. You can also see the legendary rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert at Soaring Eagle Casino.
Oct. 19- See all of the colorful, changing leaves when you visit the covered bridge at Deerfield Park.
Oct. 20- It’s CRDL Teen Tuesday! Shepherd Community Library is hosting a Halloween Movie Madness marathon.
Oct. 21- Take the kids to the Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum for a day of educational fun!
Oct. 22- Head to Fireside Grille for dinner from around the world at their International Night!
Oct. 23- Cheer on CMU’s women’s volleyball team as they face Akron.
Oct. 25- Stop by Papa’s Pumpkin Patch and pick a pumpkin to carve for Halloween!
Oct. 26- Are you ready for Halloween? Shop the local Halloween stores for the perfect costume.
Oct. 28- Take your furry friend or friends for some fresh air at Hannah’s Bark Park.
Oct. 29- Show your CMU spirit at the women’s soccer game against Toledo!
Oct. 30- Take the kids downtown from 4-6 p.m. for trick-or-treating at local businesses for Pumpkin Promenade.
Oct. 31- Happy Halloween! Have a safe night of trick-or-treating with friends and family.
Nov. 1- Fall is in the air! Enjoy a walk or bike ride through the local parks.
Nov. 2- Treat yourself to a delicious dinner made with fresh, locally grown produce at Brass Cafe & Saloon.
