Poet Russell Brakefied with Daryl & the Beans
Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858
Join Wellspring Literary Series and Art Reach of Mid Michigan as they close out the first decade of the Wellspring Literary Series, with a visit from CMU Creative Writing alumnus Russell Brakefield, reading from his first book of poems, Field Recordings. Student writer James Champion will also read, and music will be provided by Daryl & the Beans, featuring Creative Writing professors: Darrin Doyle, Jeffrey Bean, and Robert Fanning.
The band will also be selling CDs and tee-shirts at the event, with all proceeds benefiting CMU Creative Writing students through the Daryl & the Beans Award. As always, dinner is complementary, and provided by Max & Emily's.
This reading is free and open to the public.
